“Mažeikių strėlė“ does continuously replenish its machinery fleet, perform the works on major construction sites in Lithuania (Klaipėda port, AB „Mažeikių nafta“) and Latvia. The number of cranes available, their load-lifting capacity, and good professional skills of employees, allowing them to master the most sophisticated technology and work organization methods, enable “Mažeikių strėlė“ to hold a strong position in the markets of Lithuania and Latvia.
The Company rents over 50 automobile and tower cranes among which are automobile cranes of the famous manufacturers - LIEBHERR, FAUN, DEMAG, and KRUPP the load-lifting capacity of which varies from 25 to 400 tons.
In 2007 “Mažeikių strėlė” purchased a 115-m-high automobile crane of the German company LIEBHERR the load-lifting capacity of which ranges up to 400 tons. This is the most expensive crane the Company has ever purchased; it cost more than 2 million Euros.
The company is going to purchase 7 more new automobile cranes by the end of 2008 the load-lifting capacity of which varies from 55 to 160 tons.
Within the period of 2008-2009 it is planned to purchase 10 more new cranes for the amount of 6.5 million Euros. All the above investments are designated for the development and expansion of the business.
“Mažeikių strėlė“ does successfully react to the demand for heavy duty lifting machinery and does successfully and rapidly increase its turnover:
- 2005 – 9.5 million Litas
- 2006 – 16 million Litas
- 2007 – 38 million Litas
The business operations of “Mažeikių strėlė” are profitable. The profit made for the year 2007 amounted to 7 million Litas.
The Company maintains business relationship with Western companies for more than 10 years. Since the autumn of 2004 the Company has been the official representative of the German manufacturer of industrial (bridge and bracket type) cranes “ABUS Kransystem” for the Baltic region. “Mažeikių strėlė” has been cooperating with the above company since 1999.
As a result of successful activities of “Mažeikių strėlė” the Company was nominated as “Gazelės” leader even for three times. In 2005 “Mažeikių strėlė” was awarded by Mažeikiai Businessmen Association for achievements in business activities in the group of medium sized companies. In 2006 subject to the decision of Klaipėda Industrial Association, Kęstutis Slavinskas, Director General of UAB “Mažeikių strėlė” (currently – Chairman of the Board) was nominated as the Manager of the Year.
